Project Title : Farmer Participatory Technology Application for Sustainable Resource Management and Livelihood Security in North-Western Himalaya

Objectives :
1.   To enhance farmer-scientist interface, facilitate knowledge enrichment and providing technical support.

2.   To identify, integrate and assess economically viable and socially acceptable technological options.

3.   To study the farmers feedback about the performance of the technological interventions.

4.   To build network and linkages among different stakeholders /organizations / agencies for access to information, technology and resources.

5.   To study the impact and suggest suitable strategies for further up-scaling and out-scaling.

16 ICTUse of ICT in agriculture.Use of mKRISHI@ Personal Advisory on Water and Soil (PAWS) in dissemination of agricultural information in North-Western Himalayan region. Under this intervention, 335 farm families of 23 adopted villages were covered and 102 massages related to cultural practices of crops, control of insect-pests, diseases, weeds and soil fertility management, soil erosion control measures, water conservation and others were sent to the farmers considering compatibility, feasibility, practicality and relative advantages of the technical massages targeting its faster adoption.335
